Racy in red: Megan Fox sizzles on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Jonah Hex


She's known for being a sex bomb - but Megan Fox outdid herself last night when she launched her latest movie wearing a cleavage-busting red dress virtually slashed to her navel.

The eye-popping Giorgio Armani Privé minidress in red silk was designed especially for the sultry actress and certainly ensured she was centre stage with a plunging neckline that put her assets on full display.

The Transformers star plays a corseted, gun-wielding hooker called Lilah in the film, which is yet another comic book adaptation.

No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin plays the title role, and the movie - which hasn't had the best reviews from critics in the US, with one describing it as 'cursed' - also stars 39-year-old Rio Hackford, Dame Helen Mirren's stepson with her film director husband Taylor.

The proud father, 65, and his wife, 64, were also on the red carpet as were Josh's parents, stepmother Barbra Streisand, 68, and her husband and Josh's dad, actor James Brolin, 69.

However, movie industry insiders are already predicting that the film is going to flop.

The Los Angeles Times reports that although Warner Bros. spent $47 million (£32million) on producing the flick, it's forecast to take a relatively paltry $10million (£6.7million) at the box office when it opens this weekend.

The paper adds that executives are already privately acknowledging little faith in the movie's prospects, despite extensive reshoots before release.

Although it's unusual for a comic book adaptation to fail - especially in the summer blockbuster season - where Jonah Hex differs is that rather than your usual superhero action movie fare, it's actually more of a traditional western outlaw tale.

Other stars at the glitzy bash at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood included Josh Brolin's actress wife Diane Lane, 45, as well as John Malkovich and Wes Bentley, who are both in the movie.

Julia Jones, who's also in Jonah Hex as well as forthcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, was glamorous in a shimmery strapless cream minidress, whereas British St Trinians star Talulah Riley dressed down in trousers and a jacket.

Talulah's in LA working on her new movie, sci fi action thriller Inception, which is being directed by Dark Knight mastermind Christopher Nolan and also features Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page.

All eyes were on former Transformers star Megan however, whose new modelling campaign for Armani was unveiled yesterday.

The racy black-and-white shots of her in lacy lingerie are for the fashion house's Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 collection.

The 24-year-old has replaced Victoria Beckham, 36, as the new face of the label's ladies' underwear range and will also appear in advertising campaigns for this year's Armani Jeans collection.

Meanwhile Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, 25, takes over from David Beckham, 35, as the face - and body - of the Emporio Armani men's underwear range

Megan is also celebrating her engagement to former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green.

It's the second time the couple have announced they're to be married - she was first engaged to the actor in 2006 but it was called off last year.

This time round, Green proposed to her earlier this month on a beach holiday in Hawaii.
